This is a website for all of you who love the adventure of travel. Be it an around-the-world flight, a year long working holiday visa in Australia, a gap year travelling South America, or you have just had enough, and have quit your job to go to Southeast Asia for 3 months. Then this is the site for you! I have compiled a heap of info and products that you need to get you started and set you off on your way. I'm a 30 something backpacker and first left home with my backpack on and headed for Australia for a year when I was 24 in January 2007. I've not looked back since.
I backpack and travel, working when I need to in both Europe and the Caribbean, then holidaying where it's cheap, sleeping cheep, and eating cheep as well. I’m a chef and nutritionist and have compiled a PDF for a free hostel CookBook to download. So far I have done low cost travelling of South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North, Central, and South America and am currently planning a road trip to Eastern Europe soon. With all this experience I wish to have a site that will help the next and current Backpackers get on their way to living their dream. I wish that I had had this info when I started.

I have found myself in this world very addicted to the backpack and the freedom that it brings; all the friends that I have made along the way are always asking me how I afford to do it. Well I don't earn a lot per year; as most years I don't work very much at all. From January 2007 to January 2012 (that's 5 years or 60months) I have travelled to over 30 countries over a 25-month period, worked for 25 months omitted comma and have been home to the UK for 10 months, visiting friends and family. I normally budget on about 1000 UK pounds ($1600us) per month: getting less hours of work and doing more hours of what I love. Better jobs and lowers cost through experience has won me this holiday lifestyle. Being a Chef has made life easier finding well paid work (knowing where and when to go to look is a plus. Do you want to know more/how? Maybe this is a future page), I want share this knowledge though this website. My first website.
I also use this extra time that I have gained to improve myself and fulfil my life goals. With no work getting in the way, there's no reason to say 'I want to, but i just don't have time'. I'm very happy with my website and if anyone would like to comment or ask more questions you can e-mail me, or leave a comment below; Simon Blurton at:
